2017 Cycle Touring Croatia 19th April to 5th May 2017

Route: Zadar, Sukosan, Pakostan, Sibenik, Primosten, Seget Donji, Trogir, Split, Omis, Makarska, Ploce, Dubrovnik and return along same route

Distance: 895 kms and 10,890m of climbing (Hilly Roads)

Av. per Day: 64kms

Bike: Holdsworth Buttemere

Comments: Initally I intended going to Mostar and Sarajevo but changed my mind en routre due to weather forecast. So instead I continues along the beautiful Dalmatian Coastline to Dubrovnik. The route was very hilly but lovely smooth surface all the way. Beautiful camping sites, spotlessly clean and very cheap, generally between €5 and €7 per night. Dubrovnik was very expensive at €30. Beautiful country and very friendly people.

Weather: The weather was cool and windy most days with lots of blue skies and sunshine. Had rain to to nights but none during daytime.
