January and into February 2026

Storm Chandra brought heavy rain and lots of flooding along the South East and East coast of Ireland. High tides and Easterly winds not helping along with very waterlogged ground from days of heavy rain. Widespread flooding and my home town of Enniscorthy flooded again along the River Slaney. This flooding is a common occurance even going back to my school days in the 1960's.

20th January 2026 Red Sky in the morning

Red Sky in the morning Shepard's warning. 24km bike ride at midday before bad weather arives. Nest few days not looking too good with wind and rain forecast.

15th January 2026 Ravensdale, Co.Louth

Mixed winter weather but cycling whenever weather permits. Generally about 400km per month. Nice EBike spin up Ravensdale in beautiful sunshine today . Tracks very muddy in places afer recent heavy rain.
